Day one at HIMSS APAC 2026 brought Nurse Kira face to face with healthcare leaders, existing partners and potential collaborators for the first time.
The robot drew people to Rezonate’s booth, H16, but curiosity about the technology quickly gave way to a more consequential discussion: how can healthcare organizations balance safety, governance and user experience without compromising any of them?
How can healthcare AI earn trust?
Healthcare AI must earn the confidence of both the organizations responsible for deploying it and the patients expected to use it.
That requires governance that protects the boundaries that matter, alongside an experience that remains useful, natural and human. If the technology is difficult to trust or frustrating to interact with, it will struggle to serve the people it was designed to support.
This tension surfaced repeatedly in conversations throughout the day. Visitors wanted to understand not only what Nurse Kira could represent, but also how healthcare AI can be introduced responsibly into real care environments.
Those questions are exactly the ones worth asking.
Who built Nurse Kira with Rezonate?
Rezonate also signed a memorandum of understanding with Stellaris Robotics, formalizing the partnership behind Nurse Kira.
Based in Singapore, Stellaris Robotics is the exclusive distributor of UBTECH Robotics in Singapore and Malaysia, providing robotics solutions with deployment, training and after-sales support for businesses, schools and commercial environments. By pairing its robotics experience with Rezonate’s work in healthcare engagement, the two teams are exploring how conversational experiences can extend beyond existing digital channels.
Seeing Nurse Kira prompt so much curiosity on the HIMSS floor marked an important moment for that work. More importantly, it created space for practical conversations about where healthcare AI can help, what safeguards it needs and how the experience should feel for the person on the other side.
